CALL FOR SPEAKERS SUBMISSION

 â€‹After review by the conference committee, all submitters will receive acceptance or rejection notifications from EMAT.  If your session has been accepted, you will be notified of date and time for the presentation.

THE CALL FOR SPEAKERS IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2025 CONFERENCE.

Please complete and submit the form below in order to have your submission considered.

Thank you for your interest in presenting at EMAT 2025 in Murfreesboro, TN.  The breakout programs at the annual conference are one of the most important elements of the event. These sessions provide an opportunity for you to share your knowledge and experience with an enthusiastic audience filled with Emergency Management professionals who are eager to gain and share information. 

For EMAT attendees, session speakers are often the most memorable element of the conference. To meet our audience’s high expectations, your session must be engaging, informative, and applicable to a diverse audience with a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds.

 

Presentation sessions should be relevant and timely to:

  • Disaster Recovery

  • Mitigation

  • FEMA Reimbursement

  • IMTs

  • Training Updates

  • Healthcare coalition

 

To ensure your submission receives due consideration, please ensure that:

  • Your proposal is issue-focused, not product-specific;

  • You provide a presentation description, which should contains a precise objective;

  • You are able to identify and publish three clear audience takeaways;

  • You submit a handout of the session takeaways to be provided to conference attendees via the event app (due no later than March 1).

  • You include a short (300 words or less) biography, including your credentials, to be used as an introduction and in the event app.

  • You fully complete all areas of the submission form and provide accurate contact information, including phone number(s), e-mail address(es), and mailing address(es); and 

  • All of your session presenters are identified. Please note, sessions are (1) hour so panel presentations should generally have no more than 2-3 presenters to ensure that everyone has time to share their information and insight.  Please make adequate allowance for Q & A time.

Presenters are responsible for all travel-related expenses, such as airfare, mileage, parking, hotel, meals, etc. unless otherwise agreed upon by the EMAT Conference Chair.​​​
